Nabrman to host the world’s highest fashion show from the ground floor in Dubai

The UAE is all set to witness another first of its kind event next month, with Nabrman today announcing that it will host the world’s highest fashion show from the ground floor.

Nabrman, a UAE-based fashion house of high choice, is led by Hend Al Mutawa, a dynamic Emirati entrepreneur, who has created a unique fashion statement with her collections of Abayas in the regional market in just over two years since she set up her first boutique on the Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai.

The Nabrman fashion show will be held in Atmosphere, the world’s highest luxury dining lounge in Burj Khalifa, on April 14th with select VIP invitees attending the event. Sprawling over 1,030 square metres on Level 122 of the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa, Atmosphere is housed at a height of over 442 metres.

Al Mutawa said: “We wanted to do our own first bespoke fashion show in a venue that symbolised our aspirations. And what could be a better venue than the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa, and Atmosphere, the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s highest luxury dining lounge from the ground floor.”

Al Mutawa said that Nabrman is largely influenced by a contemporary mix of old world charm and elegant sophistication, and the brand essence are clearly reflected in the gracefully flowing, exquisite designs of the Abayas from the fashion house.

“At Nabrman, traditional Abayas, which are inspired by the Arabic culture, are given a modern twist with a variety of fine fabrics and a kaleidoscope of colours. Over time, Nabrman has found a perfect mix between vintage and modern designs to present Abayas in fully on-trend fashion,” she added.

Nabrman will display its winter collection at the Atmosphere. The collection is created with a conventional touch, involving velvet fabric of superior quality, yet, ensuring the blend of gracefulness within each design. The velvet fabrics utilised in this Fall/Winter 2012 collection is comprised of the classical plain velvet, the laser-cut silky velvet, and a limited edition material imported from the UK to be used for a couple of pieces in this compilation.

“Inspired by nature, specifically the nature of sea, I have boldly introduced a new Abaya cut as well as a unique design using pearls and metallic embroidery on the shoulders, creating timeless pieces in the fashion world of Abayas,” Al Mutawa said.
